    • Nice addition Chris - I am by way of being a bit of a rose enthusiast too and they are a beautiful flower to photograph, especially in macro. Thanks for your comments in my Cruise guest book - that was a good trip in flat calm conditions (well, almost!!) All best wishes, Peter

    • Hi Chris, I see you've been busy adding photos to this album. Nice rose shots. Macros can be a challenge, but very rewarding. Cheers, Keith.

    • Beautiful macros. I especially enjoyed #19 (orange rose?), #21 (rose bud), #23 (spreading stamens), and #25 (sunlight streaming the yellow petals of the bird of paradise). Ed/Albuquerque

    • Hello Chris, thank you for your nice comments in my Steam Locomotive album and I wish I could tell you that I've been into trains for years, but I'm rather new at it, which is the reason I defined each of the pictures, I was learning while I was photographing same. Can't get over this album and all its colors. A very nice album. You're quite the photographer and I shall say that you don't take enough of these beauties. The more the merrier!! I look forward to more albums in the future. Thanks again. Ron/Oregon Coast

    • Hello Chris, you take some gorgeous photos in this album of flowers, downloaded five right off the bat, #'s 2, 3, 4, 10 and 14, all on your first page. You've an excellent style of photography and I really like what I see. Your newest album on the lighthouse shows excellent form in composition and the surrounding area shows good layout and temperment by the camera person. You may be a newcomer to this vocation, but you're already going for gold here. You're just going to have to find more subjects to shoot and upload your site as you go. I look forward to seeing your site get bigger. Check Webshots user 'magikeith' site and visit his parks - quite good photography and I've picked up a few ideas from his site. Look around, get a feel for your photography. You do well now and it'll get better as you go forward. Come by for a visit more often. A pleasure to receive comments from you. Ron/Oregon Coast

    • Hi Chris and many thanks for your comments in my guest book. I knew you would like Bobbie and, as you can see, she is growing fast! You have added a couple of photos since I last visited this album and you are attracting some good people to your sites too, which is great. As well as making constructive comments we also have quite a lot of fun. Shall be back in touch when we return from our trip - meantime take care and I look forward to seeing another album or two in here. Peter

    • Hello Chris, and thanks for dropping by to my album. I'm glad to see a new Aussie talent on Webshots. I've been looking at your albums, and have to agree with Em in every word. Take lots of photos, push your boundaries, experiment, and look at what others do. Ask yourself, how did they do that? What were they trying to say or achieve. I seldom delete anything but the absolute worst disasters. I keep a directory called Duds, where I store all my failures. Every so often I rescue a shot from the duds file. They're also great to work with on Photo Shop. If you want to chat, drop me a line, my email address is on my home page. Meanwhile, let me say that Ants Paradise is a brilliant shot. Use that as a benchmark, and you're destined for some great photography. All the best, Keith.

    • Hi Chris, thank you for looking at my album of roses. In this album you have yourself some beautiful pictures of your backyard roses! :-) I think most people love roses. It is a flower with a special flair. My albums of roses always had much more visitors than the others. You should choose one of my roses, so I can dedicate it to you. - I can't believe that you are just a beginner in photography. Especially your close-ups are very impressive! They are so sharp, so clear and the colors absolutely amazing. In the other album I admire your so well done spider pictures. I'm waiting for more beautiful pictures, - Galit from Israel

    • Hello Chris!! Just very very marvellous pics for a newcomer you've taken!! I loved all of them! Espesially the 1st one which is very unusual bloom by itself, then Ants paradise - i think you will like taking pics of insects ;o) Also Summer flowers and Wild flowers impressed me - very professional shots! And i appreciate you've chosen me as a favourite member - i gladly do the same ;o) Only best wishes, Olga from Belarus.

    • HI Chrissy. I totally agree with georgieboy98 on your impressive photography. I saw the first 2 and though...this gal has definitely got it!! I am no great photographer, but you get to know which ones you feel for..and just take heaps and heaps. By the look of those first photos...you have a pretty darn good camera...Mine is only a lowend camera...but it still manages fine as we all make do with what we have.I love Ant's Paradise...as it is soo individual..and that is where you will find your niche with the camera. When mine are really out of focus...definite delete, but then sometimes a little out...can also be arty. It is just trial....lots of photo taking...error..and keep going. In no time, you will be totally at home and we shall all see some stunning work. I am a Brisso at Windsor.....but not for long as hope to move north to continue with my art. Anyway...keep snapping...and we would all love to see your creativeness and tks also for your kind words in my Art Portfolio. Have a really great day....Em from Brisbane

    • Chrissy. For someone who has only recently started photography you have a natural eye for a photo and I was very impressed with this album. Goodonya!! The only advice I can offer is that you get out and take more - heaps and heaps of them. Study the results closely, discard the ones that don't do anything for you and display the rest for all the (Webshots) world to see. If you need any help or advice you have only to ask - I'll whisper quietly in your ear that I have been taking photos since 1945!! Thanks for your kind words in my guestbook and I really appreciated what you said. Peter in Western Australia
