Your photos have been very entertaining and some down right beautiful. I too know what it is to have a sad/glad day. When I was around six years old my older brother received a bb gun for Christmas. That spring he finally let me shoot it and yes I killed a bird. The bird's mate cried and cried and so did I! I prayed to God that night to forgive me, that I would do anything to make up for the death of that bird. For days I grieved, sick at my stomach, I waited for God's punishment or release from my state of mind. The next Friday when I came home from school there was an injured squirrel on our back steps. Some one had shot it with a bb gun. I took it in placed it in a box. Being six I really had no idea what to do for it but somehow I did. I had to hide it from my Mother she wanted me never to touch sick animals. The bb had lodged in the squirrels hind leg. He let me remove it with my mom's twizers. I put this red rose save on it and put a band aid on it. The squirrel survived, lived in the trees in the back yard and became a very good friend. From that day on sick or injured animals have found their way to my house no matter where I had moved to. I have taken care of more animals, wild and domestic, than I can ever count and still to this day injured animals find their way to my house and I still nurse them and when time comes to release them I am still sad they have to leave and yet glad that they have lived to see another of God's glorious days. I feel that God sent these creatures to me and I am happy to have served Him and His creatures. I know in my heart that God has forgiven me of the terrible act that took place forty years ago but I have never been able to forgive myself and I can never truely make up for what I did.
