Hi Peter, it's taking me 3-5 clicks on each and every photo to get them to open. The Proxy Error demon has taken charge again, so I'll have to come back another day. ... I'm feeling a bit 'put upon' with all the mess at WS; sorry for the grumbling. ... L@dybug hugs, Judy

Congratulations on both this featured album awhile back and being the featured photographer of the week. That is a real honor. I was just enjoying this colorful album. Our flowers are so different. About the only ones that are common around here are the daisies, buttercups, and ferns. I also hope you are on the mend and feeling better. Donna

Hi Peter, me again! Beautiful photos of wildflowers :) When we were in Tas a couple of months ago they were only just starting to come out so the colours weren't all that brilliant - something we don't get so much over here either. Was trying to do sepia conversions to some of my photos of old buildings but for some reason photopaint won't save them as jpgs so they are useless as far as uploading goes :( Will have to stick to black and white instead! I'm really glad you liked the Wharariki album - it's one of my most favourite places in NZ and not too many people have known about it. I think that's changing though as they are now starting to put it in calenders in the shops! I was disapointed that not many have downloaded any of the photos or signed the guestbook but as you probably know, it's actually quite hard to find anything on webshots sometimes as there's so much to look through! Bye for now, Kate

Hello Peter, how are you doing? This is a delightful album and you have some marvellous pictures of wild orchids in it. Apart of the orchid pictures I also liked nrs. 15, 32, 43, 47, and 49 very much. You have nice spring weather? We have had very nice summer weather the last few weeks. During which I took many pictures of the Helianthus flower and its visitors. If you want to, you can see the result of this effort in my new album, the Last Days of Summer, at this site. Have a very nice weekend, Els (wely246/evanwely)

Hi Peter, I am soo glad that you have brought this wonderful album back to our attention with some new additions. They are just precious and the new additions to your Wildflowers collection are gorgeous. I loved finding them when I was a child and still till this day, never p#### a wildflower by without having a good admiring look. geraldton wax and the Holly Pea is just divine. No matter how small the flower, they are all still just beautiful. I love to see tiny little flowers growing amongst the big beauties. Little Purple ground hugger is just lovely. I thought for a fleeting moment, that when I first saw the Pink Cluster that it was soo like a Pentis. The track is gorgeous and my fav is the Wild Freesieas and Yellow daisies. I love Freesias. I found this gorgeous little tiny daisy thing growing on the footpath down here. There were heaps of them and they were soo tiny. The pics did turn out. I really love the way that Mother Nature has perfect colour combination. Just amazing. Wonderful new additions my friend, and now that the season is there again in W.A. for more wildflowers, perhaps a new and beautiful album shall be our gift. Tks heaps for sharing the new and hope that you are having a great time away. Catch you soon. Kindest regards, Hugs & luv to both you and Betty. p.s. Hope your health is much better now and that my mate is still looking after you. Cya's Em

Hello again, Peter! I loved looking through your wildflower album. Every time I look at your albums, I never fail to find photos more beautiful than the ones I've seen before (if that's even possible!) Do blue orchids really grow wild there? Such lovely flowers you have "down under." Hope you're enjoying the beginning of your springtime, as autumn is just approaching us here in the USA now. It's always a pleasure to look at your photos --- sort of candy for the eyes. Your friend Kat from Pennsylvania

Hi Peter! The White Freesias and yellow Daisies make a pretty picture, but unfortunately show the destruction done to our environment by humans. The Freesias are Garden Plants that have become Bushland Weeds and the Yellow Daisies are Cape Weed that was introduced from South Africa as fodder. Sorry, but I do not think they should be in an album with our beautiful natural Wildflowers. Hope you had an enjoyable walk and thanks for nice comments re my Honeyeaters... Gladys..

Hi, Peter; Thank you for your nice words about my album "Spring in New York". I do love to show off New York to the rest of the world. I still can't believe I have the great opportunity to reach such far away places as Australia! I love your albums, they really show the Australia I would love some day to visit. Thank you for sharing :) Carmela.

Hello Peter, I can't imagine how I missed this wonderful featured album of yours. Now that I've found it, I must say that you've captured these images perfectly! I simply cannot imagine wildflowers having such beautiful blooms as these. #2 and #3 look exactly like bottlebrushes. Marvelous! #8 is such a beautiful shot. These flowers must be a real joy to experience. The Scholtzia is so floriferous! We do have a small tree here that resembles it. It's called a Redbud, and the blooms are pink. The countryside is covered with them in the early spring...which I hope arrives soon. Now, I realize that we live in opposite hemispheres, but how on earth do you grow grass on trees? LOL. That would be the perfect solution to mowing our yards! On a different note, I was saddened to read your comment of the fire that destroyed this park. Surely, one day it will be restored. I also need to thank you for your wonderful travel/history lesson concerning Kuranda. It must be a wonderful place to visit! Maybe one day, I'll do just that. Please feel free to visit my albums and guestbooks anytime, as it's a real pleasure to hear from you. Congratulations on this beautiful featured album! Sharon in Virginia

Hello Peter, Thank you for your very kind comments in my guestbooks and I see you were also a recent featured album congratulations for that. There are certainly some very strange but beatiful wild flowers in Australia. You asked what kind of camera I have... It's a Nikon 4300 which I have had for about eighteen months now and am very pleased with it. I am basically a point a click girl really and when you have the beautiful Lake District its hard not to take a good picture, now and again though, you know one works really well. Not sure whether you know this but today there was a rememberance day service on the summit of Great Gable (My favourite Mountain )They have had them there for 80 years and hundreds of people attend. I would love to have attended this but sadly we live too far away. Jill

What fascinating flowers, Peter. Those grevillias and banksias take a very similar form, don't they? I wonder what was nature's intent with the adaptation of that form? By the way, I know how scarey a swarm of bees like that can be. We once had a honeybee swarm in a very small tree in our front yard when I was a kid. Another time, my sis riled a ground nest of yellow jackets and nearly lost her life as she received about 30 stings. Bees are not something to play around with! Char
