My niece is having lots of good times with a "neighborhood" dog, who had 5 pups before Christmas in their garage; they're so cute. She knows the owner of the dog and the owners of the father of the pups, so I think all the pups will get good homes when they are old enough to be weaned. What a gorgeous calico that Minette is! & I love the hedgehog photos. We have a cat door and have so far had a raccoon that used to make regular visits to our kitchen for cat food, and lately have also had a skunk! But no hedgehog! The raccoon was a frequent visitior for months until one of our male cats decided to take offense to him all of a sudden. Have not seen him ("Shades," the raccoon) in a while. Last week we had a skunk visit twice and our kitties ignored it, thank goodness!!! Needless to say, we've been blocking the cat door at night since then....Enjoyed your photos, Crystal

Hi Kathi and Henri I love cats, as we have 5 of them, so I headed directly to this album, with the cat as the lead photo. How very cute! A wonderful album! I love all the cat photos, but the abandoned kitty stole my heart. All our cats came from shelters, or were just dropped off, since we live in the country. I am finding it hard to get pictures of Socks now...she never stays still long enough, by the time I have pressed the shutter.....she has gone!!! Hi, I love the pictures of the cats. I am a cat person too.Is the hedgehog also a pet? I have a chinchilla. It is very old now but I still love it. It is past it's life expectancy. I like to feed the birds and have many bird feeders. I unfortunatly attracted voiles in my yard and they are slowly killing my grass. In books I have read they say about the only thing you can do is scare them away. You continue to have beautiful pictures. Have a beautiful day. Lola

Hi Henri & Kaethi! Panterli looks just like our neighbor's cat, Mia and a lot like our Charlie. The local animal shelters say that black cats are the hardest to adopt out. People don't want them for some reason. I think they are WONDERFUL!!! They always seem to have such sweet dispositions! I love your chickens!!! I didn't know that hedgehogs were so cute.:-))))) I was refering to your satellite antenna when I wrote "dish". They are called satellite dishes around here. I guess because they look like a bowl or something. I hope you are all done with the work and you have your home back to normal again!!!!!
