Hello Galit, imagine, I saw the Bougainvillea this year at the Orangerie (Schoenbrunn Palace) for the first time! It was a special flower market. I found them fascinating with their wonderful leaves and blooms. Today I discovered them in this album and I am marvelling at the variety of colors presented on your beautiful photos! Thank you, dear Galit, for visiting my album "Hidden gardens" and for your favourable and encouraging comments. I like these gardens very much and being there is as good as vacation! Thank you for telling me about the Eucalyptus tree and the Lonely tree, I love them! Best wishes from Vienna, Vera

Wow Galit! Bougainvilleas and Honey Suckles are two of my favourite climbers! Hence I couldn't resist viewing this album. They thrive on heat and sunshine! Here we have a verigated variety with green leaves with white patches. Surprisingly its blooms end up in bunches of whites and pinks! Thanks for sharing this beautiful album. Regards & God Bless.

Hi Galit once again! Congratulations! Bougainville Island is the location of my "Location Puzzel 2". Sorry i do not have a photo of the man, however I will investigate further for you and lensmate. I worked there in the late 1980s with an agency (NGO) (Non government Organisation). We worked with young people who were getting into trouble with thier village and local communities. The aim was to find the cause of their concerns and work towards a negotiated reconcilliation. It worked well for those willing and open to change. I lived just south of Kieta town on the coast road about 50m from the beach. That's my short story of life on Bougainville, PNG. Paul (Australia)

Hi Galit, What interesting additions you have made to this album. I didn't know that there was a Bourganville Island, and I enjoyed readind your comments about it, and the man it was named after. Facinating!.... I'm sorry about the spelling mistakes in my entry in your 'Hospital' album yesterday. I didn't notice them until I entered the message, and saw it in larger print. I have cateracts in both eyes, but the right one must now be complete. If I shut my left eye, all I can see is a very misted image with no detail, really just whiteness. and the left on is not too good either. I guess I struck a couple of wrong keys! Will have to phone the hospital now and get on the waiting list. I'm dreading it. Hope you are well, and Idith. Keep warm and well, God bless dear friend. Shalom. Sheila.

Hi Galit! Lovely album! Bougainvilleas always make such a colourful display, and now come in such a varied colour range, and even dwarf varieties. But one of my favourites is the Snow-capped Bougainvillea which has both purple and white flowers on the same plant. I used to have one at another house, but they do not transplant well and hate having their roots disturbed. I have just added 2 new albums including more Nuytsia floribunda which I took especially for you, then found Peter had also done likewise. Sorry you are inundated with it. Will come back to see your other new album soon.. Gladys.

Galit, you do have a way with flowers, downloading #44 for one, may grab another for ol' times sake. The flowers are beautiful, appreciate knowing the background and history of the island in the PNG group and didn't realize the island grouping was so close to northern AU. Quite a nice trip you've taken. Appreciate this showing. Interesting to note about the amount of water given the plant, or not and what's produced inbetween. A real nice album. Thank you for your time. Ron/Oregon Coast

Good evening Galit and thank you for your entry in my guest book today. Now, of course, you will have me searching your photos every day in anticipation of your new album being released for all to see. These bougainvilleas are beautiful, aren't they. We have them too and like yours they seem happier when they are not watered. In our garden we have just the standard purple one plus a white one, which has just come into flower again this last few days. The birds love them. Yes, you would have enjoyed that beach walk with us on Sunday, but you would have had to get out of bed early as we were down there by 7.30 which is actually a beautiful time of day right now. As you saw, there were not very many people about! I am now going to write to Em (I promise I wont tell her about you trying to beat her at her own game!!! LOL) Take care. Peter in Western Australia

Hi Galit, I love Bougainvillea plants myself. We have a few planted around our home, just north of Sydney, AU. Also I lived on the Island of Bougainville, which is just north of Australia near PNG and the Solomon Islands. (The plant and the island were named after the explorer!) Please visit my site for photos of our Bougainvilleas and of Bougainville Island. Paul of Australia (Umina Beach).
