  • Oh yes, it is obvious that you are a friend of flowers. My feeling after the first look into your albums is, that you work hard on the right compostition regarding forms and colours. That leads to very impressive pictures. Thank you for sharing your photographs on Webshots. I will have to come back to see more of your work on Japanese flowers. Cheers, Strobelix

  • Hi Hiroshi, I enjoyed your pictures again today and I love the first three pictures of the Lotusflowres. I wish they could grow here in the Netherlands but it is just to cold here for them to survive. Great shots! Bye and greetings, Diana.

  • These are gorgeous flower photo's Hirosh. What an album this is you are a excellent photographer, and you give such great background information on the flowers, what a pleasure to view your pictures. All the Lotus, Stewartia pseude-camellia,(close-up ) Magnolia grandiflora, Passiflora coerulea, Hypericum chinense, and Alswtroemeria pulchella are my favourites ones but I loved them all. Thanks for sharing another fantastic album. The pleasure was all mine.My Kindest Regards.Elaine.

  • Thank you for viewing my photos and signing my guest book. I am also fond of the rose of sharon. They grow easily here in Western Pennsylvania, USA. I have to tell you again how wonderful all of your albums are and what an inspiration your photos have been-not only in encouraging me to take better photos and look up the proper names of plants but also in growing them. After viewing this album for the first time and seeing your photos of lotus from 2000+ year old seed, it gave me the idea to try and grow one myself. I had a 10 year old dried flower arrangement/wreath with a lotus seed head in it as part of the decoration. I removed several seeds, did research on the growing conditions, filed the outer cover off the seed in a few places on each, and planted them in a pail with mud and water. This was over the past winter. I now have a large tub next to our water garden which is full. I will have to use a hand truck to bring it in over winter. I will not know the variety until it blooms in a couple of years and I am not sure if it will take our cold weather planted outside in a tub like that. Our water garden pond is to small for me to put it in there. I have always wanted a lotus plant. Thank you for the inspiration! Debbie
