Hello Barb, Wonderful additions to the Summer Flowers album. Wow, what great color in Lovely Coneflower and I really like the color intensity (high saturation) in Quaint Flower Container (I'm going to download it into my wallpaper file). Wishing you continued success. Regards and God Bless, Carl

Hi Barb, this is a great album! thanks for visiting my Insects album and for leaving a kind comment in the guestbook. Sorry for the late response, I was busy travelling in Europe. You can see some of the results in the albums that I released earlier today. You asked me about my camera - it's Canon IXUS500. You also asked how I caught bees in their flight - it's pure luck... Have a great day, Yair.

Hello Barb, I like your style in photo #16, looking at a bunch of flowers sideways, instead of the straight down method, tells us how large the plant is and whether its a single or many grouped together. Anna's write-up is 'right on' and she's quite good in taking photos anyway. If you're looking for one photo and one photo only in your shooting, I figure taking between eighteen to twenty-four photos before getting the one you want is about average for me. At least with digital, you can delete the uglies as you go and put on more. You do nice work, just don't rush yourself, photos and cameras. Best regards from the Oregon Coast. Ron

Hello Barb, This is an absolutely wonderful floral album. Great colors and variety. I particularly like Beautiful Day and the Coleus macro, DSC00929 on the first page; Macro (the yellow flower, a dahlia?), the picture of Buddy, and Mascara Brushes on the second page; Chicago, a Different View on page three; and on page 4 the picture with no title nor caption, they look like mums. These pictures stand out for me and this is not to take away from the many others that are well presented. I think you are really finding yourself in photography and that's great! Regards and God bless, Carl

Thank you for your very kind comments on one of my albums. And also reminding me to return to see some of your others and this one is beautiful! My e-mail address is: mccoyray@aol.com I have uploaded over 26 albums wi9th photos, mostly orchids and flowers, but webshots only listed 4 when I checked it today. I have inquired as to the others and hopefully they will correct the omissions and show a full list if all albums uploaed so far. You have a great camera and it may take some time to get used to the software. The digital cameras are very similar to computer operation. I will be looking at your other albums in the next few days. Best regarda. Ray

Hi Barb! Enjoyed this bright and colourful album of Flowers, always enjoyable to view. I know what you mean about trying to be quicker than the Butterflies. Thankyou for all your nice messages, always great to get mail! Yes, I had a large aviary when I lived up North, about 20 budgies of various colours (they multiply quickly)! I bought 2 Weiros -- the Pet Shop assured me they were "a pair", but ended up being 2 males. Got up one morning and found the bossy one had pecked the other one's brains out! So I didn't dare to try to find him another friend, and he befriended a little blue Budgie hen. They always sat together. Had to sell them when I moved South. Only have my dog now and he is great company.. Gladys.

Hi Barb! Thanks for your extensive and kind mail. Some answers to your questions: My anna.cor etc email address works, but you have to remove the http//, which I put there to reduce the number of Spam mail. Then it works. Regarding the Ken Leonard page: there is only one model Nikon 8700. I have bought no extra parts, except an extra battery. I have never been to Sanibel, but is looks nice on the internet. Especially the Ding Darling Refuge. I am not a professional photographer. I got my Canon Powershots 2 years ago and that is the moment my photo hobby started (not long ago…). I am still surprised to have some talent for it. Normally I speak Dutch. My English is rather fluent. I did speak French fluently some 30 years ago, but it got rusted somewhat. I understand German, but never liked the language. Now about your photo’s I will give you some hints, which may be helpful in circumstances. 1. One of the things which might help is never using a flash with flowers. 2. To prevent blurryness press the shutter halfway first before pressing it all the way. I do not know your camera, but it may give a signal when its focus is ready. Wait for that. 3. Maybe you have a special macrobutton on your camera; use that for close-ups. 4. Do not get too close to the subject: it will blurr. 5. Maybe you need glasses when making photo’s of close subjects or looking at your LCD/viewfinder 6. Focus on the flower, but move the camera slightly (keeping the same distance to the flower) to get the flower nicely out of the center. 7. A lightweight tripod may be helpful (I always use one).. 8. Join a photoclub to get live comment and it is fun sharing a hobby. 9. Get a booklet on tricks around composition. 10. Do not buy a more expensive camera yet. Nearly all my albums were done with a 3.2 megapixel camera (3x optical zoom). You have not yet worn out all possibilities of your camera yet…. 11. Be critical when it concerns uploading photos. Only do that when you are really in love with a photo. In the past two years I put up only 17 albums… These hints will keep you busy for the rest of the summer I presume.. Greetings Anna
