  • Hi Candi, Thank you so much for sharing these glorious pictures of daffodils. If William Wordsworth (author of the famous poem about daffodils, "I wondered lonely as a cloud", was still alive, he would write another one after viewing this wonderful album! Impossible to say which is the most beautiful, but you have portrayed their beauty and character to perfection. Hugs, Kathryn

  • Daffodils are my favorite flower too. When I was a small child my grandmother had a ranch on a hillside with a walnut orchard. The entire hillside was every imaginable type of daffodil, before the walnut trees came into leaf and then bloom. When that hillside was in bloom it was like sitting in heaven for me. I loved (and still do) my Gram. Maryellen/California

  • Girl, i just keep finding things that we have in common. Daffodils (or as i call them, Buttercups) have been my favorite flower since i was a little kid, we used to have a 1/2 acre field that would just be covered in them at the beginning of spring. and i would always go and pick a big double handful of them to give to my mom. And she always said the same thing when i gave them to her, "if you'd leave them in the ground they'd last longer", and i always said the same thing back, "but they're so purty, mommy"......lol. i've always told everyone i knew that when i died i better not get any carnations at my funeral or i would haunt whoever brought them, just buttercups....lol.

  • Hi Candi, a wonderful album of golden delights. Apologies for the lack of communication - no pc for 2 weeks, then no telephone line for 3 weeks and worst has come - camera damage this weekend! Many thanks for the GB entry I found once I was back online. Well done on this exquisite album. Hugs, Sue

Thanks for such beautiful pictures of one of the most perfect flowers. Right up there with Gardenias and Passion Flowers. Merry in California, USA

  • Hello Candi, very nice Daffodils, they are real bright and cheerful Spring starters. I have never been in Topinabee but have been several places near it. In my younger days, hmmmmm.... about 40 to 45 years ago, I used to spend some time with an aunt and uncle on Thumb lake, a few miles west of Vanderbilt, so I know something about your area. Nice part of the state. However, I am proud of the state and have been in most areas of it through the years and I think most parts are nice in their own way. I grew up in Sturgis, where I married my high school sweetheart and who has been my very good wife for nearly 44 years now. We spent 33 years in Ann Arbor, with an interruption for 1 year in Lapeer, and have been in Manchester (home of the famous Chicken Broil) the past 10 years. We thought we were retired but are now opening a charity resale shop in Manchester so will be very busy again for a while. If the shop is successful then we expect to help some folks along the way and extra monies will go to the Manchester Community Resource Center, which is a village charitable organization. I tend to get long winded, even via the internet, so hope I am not a bore. If I am just tell me to keep my comments short and I'll give it a try. Hey, continue to have lots of fun with your photography and continue your refreshing view of the world. Stay well and God bless, Carl
