Kathy I came back for another look and I don't regret it. Your images are delighful but your garden must be truely beautiful! I am inspired to go and take more photos of my few roses now. It is Spring here now. Last week I had new leaf growth on my roses as they came to life again after a dry winter and now there are buds. Hello Kathy, once again, and it is so nice to be hearing from you after what seems an eternity. Hopefully there will be a long list of new albums from you as a result of your absence. Thanks for all your messages and to answer your query about the red numbers you are right - I was using a new camera for the first time and had no idea those numbers would appear. I have now found out how to disable that function so it won't happen again! I have just about run out of words to praise this album of your roses and have lost count of the number of times I've visited. Our roses are just about winding down for winter now and pruning is due to start in about 3/4 weeks time. Can't say I really enjoy that job - usually end up covered in Band Aids. Good afternoon young lady and I'm sorry to be rather late in replying to your Easter greetings. It's a long story but I ended up spending most of the weekend in bed - entirely my own stupid fault. However, all is now A OK once again and I have today been allowed out of the house to do my famous chauffeur impersonation by driving Betty down to the shops. By the way I had a chuckle at you confusing Betty and Elaine - I said to myself "That Kathy is losing it!!" I bought Betty a laptop the other day - my timing was impeccable because I was able to play about with it for hours whilst languishing in bed. The excuse, of course, being that I had to find out how it all worked so I could show HER! Not quite sure if she believed me but it was a good try! I keep them quite organised on my computer and needed somewhere to store them to share with my friends and family - Webshots was the perfect answer! Shalom Kathy, My Name is Jeana Isabella's Cousin Here in Israel. Bella asked me to Say Thank You for Sending her such a Beautiful e-card (which she adored) & the uplifting caring words. Also for the most beautiful marco foto of the flure, this brought much smile to her face when I showed her not long ago at the hospital. She was caught in the middle of some bombings while in a neighbouring country so no time was wasted in having Bella air lifted back here and placed under Dr's & medical Staff that have treated Bella many times over many years: so there is a a special bond and My Cousin is much loved here. Bella was very lucky this time and The Dr's have told us she has a few broken ribs and much inner bruising all down her right side & should be sore but back on her feet in around 10 more days. Isabella's always says a small or minor accident everytime she has been injuried for many years now, we have lost count ourselves. Whoah Kathy!! If you're going to keep adding these images of perfection to your rose collection then so shall I. So there! You might have started something here. I don't think I have seen Perfect Moment before and I took the time out to check it in our catalogues - sadly it is not listed as being grown here. So I have chosen it as my favourite which is possibly a little unfair to all the others which are just SOOO gorgeous. Hello Kathy amd it is always a sheer joy to come back again to this album. We have so many roses in common, Double Delight, Iceberg, John F Kennedy, Mister Lincoln to name but a few but yours are simply gorgeous and there are several there I would dearly love but doubt if they would grow in our warm and sandy conditions. You probably find the same as me - you just HAVE to photograph them every time they go into a new flowering season! Kathy, the additional ones are perfect as can be, as are your captions. Incidentally I think 92 is a Double Delight, one of my favourites. Some of them I don't recognise as being grown out here at all and I think one or two are old English roses which are always good to have. We have an incredibly big, bulky and HEAVY book of roses which lists just about every variety up to the year 1999 but it works better the other way round, ie when you know the name and want to see what it looks like. Hi, you have some delicious roses in your garden. Yesterday I photographed various roses in Helsinki City Garden but I will think twice before I will make an album of them even though I photographed their names. One of them, a big dark red one, was called Ingrid Bergman. Certainly a good name for it. I love macros but I am just an ordinary snapshot taker and haven't got any special equipment. Dearest Kathy, I realize now that I must have been asleep when I last viewed this album and made my comments. For some reason I thought you meant you had never been featured at all -any album - and I was confused because I could swear you had been! But of course you have - the peacocks is only one example - and the feature you meant is this album in particular. I am very dense sometimes. And I'm terrible with numbers - 50,000 is a tremendous amount for an album that has never been featured - I have some featured albums with fewer views! If I were you, I would not be so upset with webshots for not featuring this wonderful album, but would be so pleased and proud of the incredible support and validation of your talent from the webshots community. I agree it is ridiculous for an album to be featured more than once, but I think in the "old days" the features were truly random. Now I think they do pick them manually because of the comments about the features on the cover page. Hi Kathy! I was having a fragrant slideshow through your gorgeous album when the photos seemed to stop moving (what else is new?), so I had to finishing just viewing the thumbnails. You are a talented rose gardener, each rose so beautiful. Great photography also. When I had a couple of rose gardens (had to give them up because of some health problems--nothing serious) my favorite rose was Double Delight and I see that you have that rose and many beautiful photos of it. Hello Kathy! It has been a wonderful experience to view your truly magnificent roses. I like the way you personalise them too, as merely identifying flowers by numbers seems to detract from them. The colours are glorious and I greatly enjoyed your Gardens of Solace and Repose album too. What a talent you have! You even manage to make the cactuses - the ugly ducklings of the world of flowers - seem beautiful! You share my liking for the effects of light in reflections. I just love those coloured bottles. I had a lot of them, when I was first married, but over the years a number of them came to grief, so I now only have one beautiful turquoise one left. Absolutely marvelous roses. Congratulations. You are able to capture their beauty with your camera. I know from experience that it takes a lot of love to grow them as beautiful as that. Dear Kathy, it's my turn now. We watched this magnificent work together, my husband and I, and fought on favourites, of course. So, he wrote down his and it is time for me to write down mine, though - to tell the truth - I LOVE THEM ALL!!! The thing about ones own roses is that you know what the names of them are, I once had about thirty Roses but for some totaly unknown reason I lost them all one summer. Kathy, Thanks for your visit to my album and roses. Yes, there is some mildew in many of the shots. My photography is strictly on others roses, mostly the Albuquerque Rose Garden. In my own gardens past I always used insecticides and fungicides, but many of the gardeners in the 'Sociciety' who plant and care for the roses are organic gardeners. So, like the weather, I observe and try to find beauty in declining blooms. If one looks with an appreciative eye there is a rich juxtaposition to see. Even for those now off to 'rose heaven' or just thrusting their tender petals into the hot air trying to attract that bug who will make their existance compleated with the next generation of seeds. We have been fortunate in that the weather has been just perfect for picture taking this last few weeks and being retired we are are able to take full advantage of it. Hi Kathy, what an awesome collection of roses you have! how I wish our climate would let us have roses bloom in mid march. This year my rose shoots are about a quarter of an inch long now! thankyou for your very generous words on my roses album. Gertrude J does need a little cossetting, my soil is light sandy & we are in driest area of UK so use plenty of compost etc & water if very dry. We have more travels planned this year, next stop is SF + Mex Riv cruise followed 20 days later with another long flight out to tour Nevada. Eric

Hi Kathy - what beautiful roses! 14, 40, 43, and 53 are my favorites, but they are all wonderful. I can smell the perfume from here. You solved a mystery for me, I think. I have a rose that came mislabeled and I have never found out what it was called. Now I think it is &quot;Charisma&qu ot;, because it looks like yours and the blooms last so wonderfully long. I too have many roses in my garden (101)and my most recent is Bell'Aroma - isn't it wonderful? I cannot seem to get nice photos of them, however. I will have to try again now that I am inspired by your fantastic photography. Hi Kathy! Your roses are just magnificent! So many beautiful varieties. We have a few of the same ones you do but not nearly so many. Jackson & Perkins is here in Southern Oregon not too many miles from us. And we have fewer roses! There are all gorgeous but a few that really caught my eye are Sundance, Tiffany, and Gorgeous red velvet and silk. What a fantastic garden you must have and so fragrant!
