For the questions on your next trip, I can tell you that South Africa is one of the most beautiful Country in the world, The Country of all flowers, of all landscapes, of all fruits and wines, of all animals, of all kind of human races, of all religions with ever clean luxury hotels not expansive if you pay on the place (do not buy by a Tour Operator). The two big trips we made there, we rented a car and made for the longest estimated stops internet reservations; There are so many hotels, that is not a problem!
