Hello cake fan! I didn't have enough room to write the story behind the OTT Office Warming cake, so I'm doing it here. <p> The Office of Technology transfer moved to now larger digs in June 2005. Having been surrounded by literally dozens of identical white packing boxes for a month or so, I was inspried to make the cake look like moving boxes. The knockout mice box refers to a few of the many inventions available through the office. (Must pack everything! BTW knockout mice are a special type of lab mouse with certain genes changed or "knocked out.") The pink parcel incorporates a special thank-you for one employee who secured a large government grant for the university. <p> Some special color notes: The royal blue color matches the file folders used. The pretty pink is called Americolor Electric Pink. The vivid black is Chefmaster Gel. <p> Thanks for looking!
