Hello Gabriela! What a delightful and colourful album on Hinamatsuri! The Hina ningyo are so colourful and resplendent in their gold and red dress. I am familiar with this festival and hence this album made a great impact on me. Wonderful photographs of a time honoured festival. Thank you. Best wishes, Suresh

Hi Gabriela, I was so excited when I found this album. It is so very interesting and full of history as well as beauty. I first learned about Hinamatsuri from a WS friend in another country, and I am so happy to have seen this album to be able to fully comprehend this tradition. Best wishes, Carol

Dear Gabriela - I enjoyed this album very much. My grandparents used to bring me dolls from their travels, including some from Japan - one of their favorite places; they visited almost every year. The dolls have been packed away for many years, but next time I visit my mother I will find them so that I can display them with the photos and souvenirs from my trip. Many thanks for your kind comments in my album from Kyoto. I could have spent weeks in the temples, shrines and gardens there! They are wonderful. It is hard to pick a favorite, but I did love Byodo-in. Best, Marisa

Hello Gabriela. What a fascinating and intriguing album you have here. I have really enjoyed my visit and all the information you have provided has been very interesting. I'm also here to say a big thank you for stopping by to sign my recent feature. It's those that call that make the day so special. I'll be leaving for the USA at the end of the week. Visiting Nevada and Wyoming. Meeting up with a Webshot friend, so I'm really looking forward to our photo taking together. Hope to get lots and lots of photos. Be away for 3 weeks. Take care. Much love, Jayne xx

Hello Gabriella, Thank you for sharing this beautiful album and some of the culture from Japan. Those kimonos must have a lot of weight with all those layers. So much beauty and works of art which is captured by you. I love your albums as well as those of your husband. Thanks again and have a wonderful day. Juliette.

Hi Gabriela, thank you for pointing this album out to me! The shrine that I tried to describe is just like one half of #59! But made of cardboard, and the dolls are made of paper. I enjoyed this album very much. I am stunned about the variety and beauty of the dolls and all the wonderful artwork which you presented in this album very perfectly. Thank you for sharing! Best wishes from Vienna (Austria), Vera

Dear Gabriela, perhaps I am such a naive and rarely seeing great arts, I keep adoring this incredible collection of some of the most super fine arts in the whole world. I also keep admiring the power and the strong will for keeping the superb Japanese culture, which I deeply feel regret for the Chinese to have lost such kind of enthusiasm and cultural mind. This is one of the reasons for why you hardly see my photos of Chinese architects and artifacts, simply because I can hardly any good chance and place around me to satisfy my strong quest for such traditional cultural, especially in our concrete jungle! This is absolutely ridiculous, because I can have easier and more freely access to the Western culture in Europe, which I also love very much, than I can hope to reach for my own Chinese traditional culture! Dear Gabriela, every doll in this album is a masterpiece. I am so happy for you can have an album of this excellent collection. I deeply dream for such an album of my own beloved traditional arts! I really feel quite sorry! Anyway, thank you very, very, very much for enjoying my little crazy fun! I will keep trying my best to keep sharing my little happiness with all my friends! Best Wishes to you and Yoshiyuki! HUGS! CS :>

Your beautiful album inspired me to upload a couple of photos of my own treasured Japanese doll. It was a gift from the CEO of a Japanese pest control company who is writing a book based on his experiences and, unbeknownst to us, had treasured a copy of our book on Rats and Mice for more than 20 years. I hope you'll take a look at my "Japanese lady" in my new album, Mementos. I think she is exquisite.

Hi Gabriela! Thank you for you invitation to this wonderful album. It's an honour to be the first person to give commnent here. The photos are very beautiful and it's so interesting to read your comments about the photos. I had never heard about the Dolls' Festival in Japan before. It's also so fantastic to see the flowers of the wild plum because here in Skelleftea is full winter. Thank you for sharing the spring and the Japanese traditions and art through your photos.
