  • Hi Kathy. Welcome back! Great to see you with us once again and I hope those problems are now well and truly behind you. You talk about my roses, but yours are just delightful and this has long been an album where I have enjoyed spending time. Always good to see new varieties, most of which we don't seem to be able to grow over here. But these pics of yours would all have been before you started using a D70, right? Be interesting to have a few comparision photos sometime. A friend has lent me his D70 for a few days and I'm still battling to get used to the weight! It's even heavier that my old Nikon F4 (which I still have). Hope all is well - haven't heard from you for a few days - hope the black cockatoos I sent over didn't scare you away!! LOL. Hugs galore, Peter

  • Hi Kathy! Please, please, don't hurt yourself girl! Your comments on my featured album were so cute, and you have such a wonderful way with words that makes us smile! :-)) Thanks for the congratulations; it was a big surprise this morning. I love the roses from your garden. I miss mine very much this year. We had to give up growing roses because of some "old age" health problems (nothing major--just aches and pains) and roses are so demanding. They're well worth all the work, but not pain!!! :-(( I'll just enjoy viewing albums as beautiful as yours and I can get my rose garden fix that way!! Lots of hugs, Sharon

  • Hello Kathy, Many thanks for the kind words in my guestbook. You must have a lovely rose garden! Like you, my favorite is Double Delight. There's just something about it. It's sooooo beautiful.....and fragrant. This is a wonderful album, Kathy, and I'm very glad for the opportunity to have seen it. After answering my guestbook entries, I'll be back to view MORE albums. Greetings and warm wishes from Sharon in Virginia

  • Hi Kathy and you're a doll! You are so forthcoming with your praise of my albums that were it not for the fact my head is now too old to be enlarged it would certainly be swollen by your comments. Good on yer sport! Incidentally, in our garden we, too, have Double Delight, John F Kennedy and Ballerina Roses plus I am pretty certain we have a couple of others that you have also. Catch you later, meantime love and hugs, Peter

  • Your Roses are really beautiful. I have only 3 rose bushes. My favourite is a climber. I dug it up 35 years ago by an abandoned gas station. I believe it is called the apothecary rose. It has a wonderful fragrance. I gather the petals each year to make pot pour-ri. Thanks for sharing this lovely album. Sandie

  • Dear Kathy, I was delighted to find your comments in my guestbooks. I do like people who write more than the usual two-three lines. You must be real happy to have a garden and roses in it! Though I know that they are difficult to raise as they tend to get lots of bugs, but when they bloom they are a reward. Your roses ARE beautiful !!!If I were to choose favourites, I woudn't choose them by appearance, but by fragrance. If you can use inside the house a diffuser of aroma oils and use rose oil - well, it is divine! Did you ever try to make rose jam? In my homecountry back in Europe it is quite a goody! Specially on lazy summer days!I hope you might add more to this album. Please, let me know if you do. A big friendly hug from Gabriela

  • Hi Kathy! Thanks so much for the sweet words on my featured album today. As I've said before I love your rose album. Double Delight is one of my favorite roses; it is so fragrant and the colors change from bud to full blossom. Thanks for the reminder of beauty to come in a few months here in the cold Midwest! :-) Hope you have a Merry Christmas and Blessed New year, Sharon

  • Hi Kathy! Enjoyed this beautiful album of Roses. You have a lovely collection of varieties and colours. Great shots too, and I was pleased to find that I am not the only one who has bugs on my roses. Somehow, the camera manages to find all the minute insects, the wind damage to the petals, etc. Thankyou for sharing and Warmest Wishes for Christmas. Gladys, Western Australia.

I've also had a sneak browse through some of your albums and we share a common interest in both roses and scenery, so I have added you to my favourites so's I can browse the rest of your albums at leisure. Do you have any Aussie favourites??? LOL Peter from Western Australia

  • Hi Kathy! Thanks for visiting and signing the guestbook. I love hearing from people from all over and viewing the photos that they share. Your comments were very kind. Thank you. Your roses are beautiful. I have a hard time being satisfied with the rose pictures I take, but yours are great as are the photos in the other albums. You have a good eye and you try new things. I certainly appreciate that. Thanks for sharing and stop by again. I'm always adding... Mike In SC

Kathy this album is beautiful, and I even liked the last photo with the bugs, it made it very interesting! Thank you so much for your kind words in my featured album yesterday! • Hi, Kathy, - Where have you been all my Webhots life? What a magnificient collection of roses! Your garden must be the prettiest spot in your neighborhood! I also enjoyed some of your other albums! Thanks for your entry in my guest book. You are far too generous in your praise of my work and also far too modest about your own! You are right - I also hail from what once was Czechoslovakia - and have been making return visits each year since 91.- Some of your roses now grace my screen saver collection and I plan to make return visits to your albums from time to time. All my best from Florida/New Hampshire! bruno PS I would like to tell you about a picture enhancement I use - if you would care to contact me at my email shown in my home page.
